Door and window measurement first measure the height and width of the opening. If it is a rough room door and window opening, it needs to be reduced by 4 centimeters after measuring the height and width. If it needs to be replaced after the decoration, it needs to be reduced by 1 centimeter.
The following steps:
1. First of all, understand the general situation: before measuring the size, communicate with the owner, whether the doors and windows are installed with door set, and whether the marble countertop is installed under the window. Do not reserve some sizes;
2. Then measure: measure the width, take the minimum value of the upper, middle and lower widths, and then remove 1cm for easy installation (window and door sets of them should be in the buckle size);
3. Final measurement height: Take the minimum value of the upper, middle, and lower heights and remove 1cm for easy installation (if there is a table top, it should be in the buckle size);
Another method:
1. Make sure the window supplies you want to buy are placed inside or outside the window frame. Most bead curtain and curtains are hung outside the window frame, but shutters and shade cloth are recommended to be installed inside the window frame. If it is installed in the window frame, at least 1 inch (2.53cm) thickness is reserved.
2. Measure the thickness of the window. When measuring the thickness, it must be measured to the outside, that is, a longer width. For example, if a double suspension window is installed, it must be measured from the edge position outside the suspension window instead of the groove inside. If there are handles and latches on the window, the thickness should also be counted. If you don't calculate these thickness, there will be problems when hanging.
3. Measure the width inside the window frame. That is, the distance between the left side and the right side after opening the window. We recommend that you test this data three times at different locations. (Usually the size of the new window frame may be a little different.) that is, the width is measured at the top, middle and bottom of the inner window frame respectively, and then the smaller values of the three are taken.
4. Measure the height inside the window frame, that is, the distance between the upper end and the lower end after opening the window. Similarly, it is recommended to take three positions for measurement, that is, the positions on the left, middle and right.
5. Measure the width (from left to right) and height (from top to bottom) of the window exterior. Note that these two data should include the part of the window frame, that is, measure from the edge of the window frame. Each data should also be measured three times, that is, the width should be measured at the top, middle and bottom three positions, while the height should be measured at the left, middle and right positions.
