Aluminium Wraping Wooden Window How to Replace Glass

1. Remove cullet first
Use a putty knife or a thin blade to remove the layering first (first remove the long layering, insert the putty knife in the middle of the layering and window frame to pry, and select the position in the middle part. It is easy to pry here, pry out the gap, open the two ends carefully, be careful not to hurt the layering), remove the two long layering, remove the two short ones, and finally take down the double-layer glass to clean up the fragments, be careful not to hurt the contact surface of the sealing strip caught in the middle, and use a putty knife to insert and cut it flat.

First, use a screwdriver to gently pry out the innermost black sealing strip.

Then pull out all the sealing strips with your hands, and pry them with a screwdriver when it is difficult to pull them.

Use a screwdriver to pry out the aluminum alloy frame, as shown in the following figure.

Take out the broken glass and be careful not to be cut by the glass when doing this step.

II. Replace new glass
After measuring the size and thickness, buy a glass of the right size and a bucket of silicon sealant. Clean the new glass wiper, and wipe the inner surface of the original glass, otherwise it will not be wiped when it is installed. Clean the contact surface of the sealing strip, put the glass, make sure there are no sundries and dust inside, and seal it with silicon sealant (be sure to seal it to avoid air leakage. After installation, the layering can cover the glue, and there is no need to worry about the appearance).

Put the new glass in. Pay attention to the gap between the upper and lower glass and the frame. If the gap below is large, put something to support the starting point, so as to save the glass sinking after being installed for a long time.

Hammer the aluminum alloy frame into the frame with a rubber hammer.

Put the sealing strip back and finish the installation.

3. Put back the Glass
After the silicon sealant is 80% dry, put the double-layer glass back. On the contrary, install short layering first and then long layering first. Then polish the glass and it will be OK.
