Good sealing strip has no bubbles, smooth surface and no serrated feeling. It feels very delicate and soft. However, there will be a lot of filler in some cheaper sealing strips, so the surface will not be very bright. If you see that kind of sealing strip with poor texture and low price, you must not choose it. You can't save a small bargain, but it will be a big trouble later.
Smell it with your nose. Under normal circumstances, the pvc material we bought at home will have a slight smell of alcohol, but the taste is very light and not easy to smell. If the peculiar smell is relatively strong, but the elasticity and softness are relatively good, it is no problem to use it at the beginning. With the passage of time, the sealing strip will become brittle and hard soon, and the colloid will fall off and break off, thus losing the sealing effect.
You can also tightly wrap the sealing strip on the profile, and then put it in the sun. After a long period of sunshine, see if there is any change in the contact surface between the profile and the sealing strip. Is the dust exposed to the sealed day yellow or oily. If there is, it must be an inferior sealing strip.
