What Should I Do If the Wooden Door Is Damaged?


1. Treatment of wooden door scratches:

if the wooden door is accidentally scratched but does not touch the wood below the paint film, use a soft cloth with a little melted wax solution, apply it on the paint film wound and cover the scars. After the wax becomes hard, apply some more. If you apply it several times over and over again, you can cover up the film scars.

2. Remove the oil and ink on the wooden door:

you can add two parts of white vinegar to one part of water, wipe the oil and ink on the wooden door with sponge and mixture, then clean and dry it.

3. Clear water marks:

water marks usually take a while to disappear. If it is still visible after a month, wipe it along the direction of wood grain with a clean soft cloth coated with a small amount of salad oil or mayonnaise. Or you can use a wet cloth to cover the trace print, and then carefully press the wet cloth with an electric iron for several times to dilute the trace print.

4. Remove oil stains from wooden doors:

residual tea is an excellent detergent. After wiping, spray a small amount of corn powder for a test. Finally, wipe corn powder clean. Corn powder can absorb all the dirt adsorbed on the wooden door surface, making the paint surface smooth and bright.

5. White or light wooden doors turn yellow:

the white or light paint on the surface of wooden doors will change color for a long time. You can use a rag with toothpaste to wipe it.

6. Protection hardware accessory:

just wipe gently with a dry cloth, and do not use detergent containing chemicals.

7. Clear the sticky paper:

use salad oil to completely soak the paper. After a few minutes, use steel wool for wooden doors to gently wipe it according to the direction of wood grain. Polish after drying.

8. Fade burn marks:

cigarette butts or unextinguished matches leave gas mark on the paint surface of wooden doors. If the paint surface is burnt, you can wrap a fine-grained hard cloth on the matchstick or toothpick, gently wipe the marks, and then apply a thin layer of wax, gas mark can fade.

9. Scratch:

if the paint surface of the wooden door is scratched and the wood under the paint is not touched, crayon or paint of the same color as the wooden door can be applied to the wound surface of the wooden door to cover the exposed background color, then apply a thin layer of transparent nail polish.

10. Removal of Styrofoam:

it is common for solid wood door to have extra Styrofoam stuck on the surface during the installation process of solid wood door. Once you accidentally put Styrofoam on the surface of the wooden door, remember not to rush to wipe off the Styrofoam immediately, don't worry about it first. After Styrofoam is completely cured, just use hand lever to buckle it down without leaving obvious marks. Otherwise, the more you wipe, the more sticky it is everywhere, it's a mess.
