Sealing strips are usually installed on doors and windows, which can be dustproof, waterproof, soundproof and sealed. However, many people do not know much about it, especially in the aspect of installation.
Door and window rubber steal strip is mainly used in plastic steel doors and windows, aluminum alloy doors and windows, wood doors and windows, aluminum coated plastic doors and windows and other architectural decorative doors and windows. Door and window rubber steal strip on the market are generally formed by extrusion of PVC, modified PVC, EPDM, elastomer sealing strips (including TPV, TPE, TPR, SEBS), silica gel and other materials. According to different purposes, it can be divided into three categories: door leaf door set sealing strip, wool tops and glass sealing strip (adhesive strip). Door leaf/sleeve sealing strip is mainly used for sealing between door panel and door frame, while wool tops is mainly used for sealing between door frame and door leaf, while glass sealing strip is mainly used for sealing between glass and door leaf and frame.

1. Glass mat and seam allowance rubber strip

At the same time, the head of the strip should be pressed down into the profile notch. Since the rubber strip is an elastomer, it may shrink after rolling.
The correct method is: when the adhesive strip is installed at the interface of both ends, the two ends of the adhesive strip are retracted to the middle, leaving a shrinkage margin of 2-3cm, and then cut and embedded into the slot.
2. Glass layering
Hand the tip of the strip into the profile groove according to the correct surface, and then press the outer surface of the strip to press the strip into the gap between the glass and the profile. The adhesive strips at both ends are retracted to the middle, leaving a length of 1-2cm and then cut, press into the slot.

1. Before installing the glass, carefully remove the sundries in the slot, such as mortar, brick chips, wood blocks, etc. When placing the glass, carefully align it to ensure that the gaps on both sides are uniform and fixed in a timely manner, prevent collision and shift from the center of the notch.
2. The rubber sealing strip cannot be pulled too tightly, and the blanking length is 20-30mm longer than the assembly length. The installation should be embedded in place, the surface should be straight, and it should be in close contact with glass and glazing rebate to make the force around the glass even. At the corner rubber strip, a bevel should be cut off, and glue should be injected at the break to bond firmly.
3. When fixing the glass with sealant, squeeze the glass with rubber strip or rubber block first to leave the glue injection gap. The glue injection depth should not be less than 5mm. Before the glue is cured, the glass should be kept free from vibration.
4. The installation part of wool tops is generally on the window (door) fan, around the frame fan or on the sealed Bridge (wind block) to enhance the seal between the frame and the fan.
5. Wool tops specification is an important factor affecting sliding doors and windows and watertightness, and also an important factor affecting door and window switch force. Wool tops the specification is too large or the vertical hair is too high, which not only makes it difficult to assemble, but also increases the moving resistance of doors and windows, especially the initial resistance when opening and the final position resistance when closing.
6. If the specification is too small, or the height of vertical wool tops is not enough, it is easy to get out of the groove, which greatly reduces the sealing performance of doors and windows. Wool tops need to be silicified. The appearance of qualified wool tops is straight surface, smooth bottom plate and vertical hairs, no bending, and no pitting on the bottom plate, which meets the regulation of 0.2mm.
