This is mainly because the application of hollow glass can improve the thermal insulation and anacoustic effect of doors and windows, making door and window products not only shield from wind and rain, but also have significant energy saving effect, reducing the cost of heating in winter and cooling in summer.

The application of hollow glass is constantly expanding, and people's quality requirements for hollow glass are getting higher and higher. How to grasp the development opportunities of the market, providing high-quality and reliable insulating glass has become a research concern of insulating glass manufacturers. This article will briefly analyze the basic processing process of insulating glass.

Firstly, the types of hollow glass and the five indexes in the national standard of hollow glass are introduced.

I. Classification

at present, there are two kinds of hollow glass in the domestic market:

1. Channel aluminum hollow glass: this kind of hollow glass was introduced in 80's and is relatively mature, but the processing technology is relatively complicated.

2. Aluminum strip type hollow glass: this kind of hollow glass started late in China, but the manufacturing process is simple, so it has a wide application range and is widely promoted. (Most of the insulating glass produced by glass manufacturers are like this)

II. Five indicators in the national standard of hollow glass

4. High temperature and humidity

5. Climate cycle test

according to the national testing standards, how can we arrange our production to meet the requirements of hollow glass? Since there are many similarities between the two kinds of insulating glass in the technological process, the common technological process is analyzed.

1. Glass cutting and blanking

sheet Glass is generally colorless float glass or other colored glass, sunshade glass, tempered glass, laminated glass, the thickness is generally 3-12mm, the above Glass must comply with the provisions of the first grade products and superior products in GB11614, it can be used only after passing the inspection. Glass cutting can be done manually or by machine, but it should be guaranteed to meet the size requirements. During the operation of this process, workers should always pay attention to the fact that the glass surface should not be scratched, the internal substance should be uniform, and there should be no obvious defects such as bubbles and slag inclusion.

2. Glass cleaning and drying

machine cleaning must be adopted for glass cleaning, because manual cleaning cannot guarantee the cleaning quality. Before cleaning, the glass must be tested without scratches. In order to ensure the adhesion between sealant and glass, deionized water is best used. In addition, in order to ensure water circulation and save water resources, water can be filtered to ensure long-term use. The cleaned glass should pass the light test to check whether there are water drops, water stains and other stains on the surface of the glass. If there are water drops, water stains and other stains, the running speed, heating temperature, adjust the air volume and brush clearance until the effect is intact. After washing, the glass should be assembled into hollow glass within 1 hour. In addition, make sure that there is no friction and scratch between the glass and the glass. It is better to have a semi-finished glass storage trolley to separate the glass cover from the sheet.

3. Assembly of aluminum strip type hollow glass

(1) requirements for the environment: the temperature should be between 10-30 degrees

(2) requirements of relative humidity: this kind of hollow glass requires slightly lower relative humidity, which is normal. However, it should be noted that desiccant should choose qualified products from regular manufacturers to ensure the effective use of desiccant. The desiccant should be used up within 24 hours after opening, because polysulfide gum has relatively high air permeability and poor sealing performance, so double-Channel sealing should be adopted. Use butyl rubber as the first seal to block gas. Using two-component glue as the second seal, the main function is bonding, followed by air insulation. Practice has proved that the life of single-channel sealed hollow glass is only about 5 years, while the life of double-Channel sealed hollow glass can be as long as 20 years or even more than 40 years. Therefore, the development of double-Channel sealed hollow glass is the general trend.

4. Glass composite

aluminum strip-type hollow glass, the outer part of the aluminum frame and the glass edge should have a distance of 5-7mm, used to apply the second sealant, two-component glue should be evenly coated along one side to prevent bubbles, scratch off the residual surface of the glass after coating. So far, aluminum strip hollow glass has been processed.

5. Placement of hollow glass

whether the insulating glass is placed correctly or not will also have an impact on the final quality of the insulating glass. The design requirements of the stacking rack should take into account the characteristics of the insulating glass, whether in production, transportation or on site storage, the stacker must have a certain inclination. But the bottom plane and side should always keep 90 degrees, so as to ensure that the bottom edge of the two pieces of hollow glass can be placed vertically on the stacker. In addition, it should be noted that the bottom of the glass should not be stained with oil stains, lime and other containers, because they will have different degrees of aggressive action on the second sealant of hollow glass, thus affecting the sealing performance of hollow glass.
