From April 2 to April 6, 2024, Zhang Xichen, director of Huaneng Science and Technology Building curtain wall and window Research Center (hereinafter referred to as "center"), led by researcher Wang Hongtao, chief engineer, deputy director Qiu Ming researcher and other five people went to Japan door and window Manufacturers Association (hereinafter referred to as "JSMA"), Japan Building Materials Testing Center (hereinafter referred to as "JTCCM"), weike Kai AIPU building materials (hereinafter referred to as "YKK AP") conducts visits and exchanges on standardization, testing and certification, intelligent production, etc.
The JSMA exchange meeting was hosted by Kudou Akira, technical manager of ISO/TC 162 and head of JSMA International Standards Department. First of all, JSMA special director Sakaguchi (Sakaguchi Haruji) introduced JSMA's development history, main work responsibilities and contents, and development planning. The representative of the center, senior engineer Yan Qiang, introduced the development history, organizational structure and existing work content of the center. Later, the two sides exchanged views on Sino-Japanese door and window industry policies, standards and norms, project management, personnel training and future development trends of the industry.

During the visit to JTCCM, representatives of the Center observed the in-plane deformation, air tightness, water tightness and wind tunnel damage tests of doors and windows, and communicated with other performance tests of doors and windows as well as related testing equipment and laboratory management. In addition, the two parties, together with JSMA members, sorted out the items including ISO WD 21174 "hardware terminology for doors and windows" and ISO/PWI 25161 "testing method for dynamic watertightness of curtain wall" proposed by us, and further discuss the technical content of the Future ISO standard proposal.

During the visit to YKK AP, representatives of the center visited the intelligent production line of doors and windows, and listen to the introduction of the technical director of YKK AP factory to the planning and development of the factory and the intelligent door and window production system developed based on big data and artificial intelligence. Subsequently, the two sides communicated with YKK AP staff on the intelligent manufacturing technology of doors and windows.

This visit further strengthened the contact between the center and the ISO/TC 162 Secretariat, laying a solid foundation for the next phase of ISO standardization work. In addition to the standard field, the center will actively explore in-depth research and cooperation with JSMA in fields including door and window industry policies, green and low-carbon development, etc. to achieve the goal of common progress.
