Recently, Nanhai district, Foshan city has publicized the list of proposed projects for scientific and technological research projects in key areas in 2022. Finally, the project will develop aluminum alloy profiles with high Fe element tolerance and high conductivity/high strength and toughness, whose product preparation technology is the main goal, and carry out in-depth technical collaborative research, it is of great significance to enhance the competitiveness of core products such as subway conductive rail, aluminum profile radiator and consumer electronic aluminum profile of the group company.

This project serves as a further extension of the horizontal industrial research project of Guangdong Huachang Group Co., Ltd. and South China University of Technology. Based on the high-purity 6101B alloy (Al-Mg-Si-based alloy), the project plans to utilize the tolerance requirements of Fe impurities in "green and low carbon" production by combining aluminum recycling, and based on microalloying modification, melt purification and ausform cooperate to comprehensively control the shape, size and distribution of alloy phase (mainly including Fe-rich hard phase and aging precipitation phase), and finally realize synchronous improvement and improvement of high conductivity/high strength and toughness. The project will eventually develop high conductivity/high toughness for rail transit, 5G communication, new energy vehicles and other fields, aluminum Alloy profiles with high Fe impurity volume limit that are easy to recycle and their preparation technology. Main performance indicators include: conductivity & sigma;≥ 58%IACS, thermal conductivity & lambda;≥ 210w/(m · K), yield strength ≥ 200MPa, tensile strength ≥ 250MPa, elongation ≥5%;Fe impurity content limit is not less than 0.3%.

In 2022, Nanhai district, Foshan city, science and technology research projects in key areas began to compile project declaration guidelines at the end of 2021, and formally submitted project guidelines at the beginning of 2022. From May 26 to 27, 2022, the leaders in charge of the science and technology bureau of Nanhai district, the responsible personnel of the business department and relevant industry experts organized the special research work of "opening the list of handsome people" and key areas of scientific and technological research. In November 2022, it officially began to apply for key scientific and technological research projects in key areas and submitted the application form for key scientific and technological research in Nanhai district of Foshan City (2022). After nearly two months of polishing before and after the project Defense PPT report, the team of South China University of Technology first completed the first draft, and then was supplemented and perfected by Guo Jialin, deputy chief engineer of Huachang group, then Professor Du Jun repeatedly revised and perfected it many times. After several rounds of polishing, the team finally completed the high-quality PPT defense report. On February 16, 2023, Guo Jialin, deputy chief engineer of Huachang group, and Professor Du Jun of South China University of Technology formed a defense team to participate in the "comprehensive defense of key scientific and technological projects in 2022 in Nanhai district, Foshan city", the deputy chief engineer reported the project to the review expert group in detail. The project report fully expressed the uniqueness, innovation and breakthrough of the project. Professor Du Jun answered the questions raised by the review expert group from a professional perspective, the comprehensive defense of the project went smoothly and was highly recognized and unanimously approved by the review expert group. It is believed that the project is not only based on solving the "back-back" relationship between strength and conductivity and realizing the syncrolift strength and conductivity, but also has important practical significance for the recycling of waste materials in the aluminum profile production process.

Huachang Group is one of the earliest units in the aluminum profile industry to carry out industry-university-research projects with well-known domestic universities, successively with Central South University, Guangdong Academy of Sciences, jiangxi University of Technology, South China University of Technology and other universities have carried out good industry-university-research cooperation and achieved fruitful results.
